Reliance Infrastructure
The Company had to expand its transmission capacity in Mumbai. A lack of space in its three sub-stations resulted in the company opting for a GIS. With tight space considerations, a solution of cabling was implemented to the satisfaction of Reliance in total consonance with the Reliance plan of energizing the new equipment.
In addition the space constraints resulted in a decision to install terminations on top of 55 meter towers.
The total job required more than 100 terminations and 100 straight through joints
The substation at Gorai and Goregaon are charged and operational whereas the Ghodbunder and Borival Substations are in progress.
Another recent achievement has been the 30MVA, 33/11KV Indoor Receiving Station at Natwar Parekh Compound , Shivaji Nagar, Mumbai. This is our 10th Receiving Station for M/s Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. which will add 30 MVA Capacity to Reliance system. This receiving station was successfully erected, tested and commissioned by RIPL in the month of March 2015 and Inaugurated on 30th July 2015 and was also covered in the Times of India dated 30th July, 2015.

Mahagenco
The Vaitarna Hydo Electric Power plant was plagued with cable failure. Being a thirty year old plant, its transformers and layouts were very old and as per designs and standards in force in the late 60's.
With a huge power shortage in the state, the Government wanted to run the power plant to temporarily augment supply. The task of laying cables in the tunnels and transformer terminations in a 30 year old transformer was difficult yet successfully executed. The plant was up and running in a very short period.
MSEDCL Infra Projects at Vashi and Wagle
The project involved 33 kV substations, distribution transformers as well as Ring Main units and the associated equipment for a city distribution network.
Mumbai Rail
With a conversion to A/C MRVCL upgraded its line voltages to 66 kV. As a result a large amount of cable was laid and had to be terminated at various points close to the railway tracks. With trains passing by every minute and negligible clearance from the railway tracks, the task was tedious, yet our specialized team of jointers completed the task to perfection in excess of 60 terminations.
Call Centre Operations
It is difficult for any utility to maintain a large crew of jointers. During phases of new cable laying and attending to faults, utilities repeatedly require the services of jointing crews. As pioneers we have contracts with some utilities where we provide jointing services with a 24 hour response time.
